Blogging Assignment
While this was my first experience with blogging, it probably won't be my last. This assignment has showed me that it is easy and interesting to connect with other students via blogs and the internet. This would definitely be a useful tool in a classroom setting and something that would be effective when put in use during the summer or a extended break from school. While in today's world social networking is very popular, blogging is another option that is quite similar to these sites. This is just another tool that I have acquired from this semester in Tech PETE and one that I could see myself using later on in life.

Spring Semester
As the semester winds down, I have looked back at my time here at SRU in the Phys Ed major. My first year at SRU I was undeclared and took many core classes and liberal studies. Since I have declared my major, I have enjoyed my time in college much more. The classes in this major are both exciting and informative and I am so glad that I have had this opportunity to make the switch to Phys Ed. It is truly something that I take pride in and what I want to do in the future!

PE Play Day
Here at SRU the Physical Education department hosted a "Play Day" for all students in the quad. This turned out to be an awesome event, with games and activities of all kinds for students here on campus. Games included: corn hole, Kan Jam, bocce, Frisbee, and jump rope, among others. The weather turned out to be wonderful and students from the whole campus were able to enjoy what seems to be the first of many Play Days to come. This recess atmosphere allowed students to forget about school for a few hours and relive some great memories of hanging out and playing meaningless games with friends and classmates. Play Day was a great time and I hope many others enjoyed it as well.

I was recently watching the television show Baseball Tonight and the commentators were talking about a young prospect for the Cincinnati Reds named Billy Hamilton. They were going on about how he had great speed and could bunt for base hits. Since my video project is on properly executing a bunt, I decided to look up some of his bunting highlights on YouTube. They videos of him that I cam across showed his near-perfect bunting technique, and his frequent habit of bunting and reaching safe (which is no small task for a right-handed batter). I plan to incorporate some of his technique into my bunting video and I am sure that we will all see him playing soon for the Reds.
